Our Beginnings and Focus
Jim Welch opened Mid Cities Corvette in 1983 after he graduated from TCU in Fort Worth. Originally a Corvette only shop he listened when his customers started branching out with their restoration projects and asked Jim to do so also. In 1993 the shop’s name changed to Mid Cities Classics and we have never looked back.
Over the last 40 plus years and now, the shop is filled with Corvettes of every year, Camaros, Trans Ams, Muscle Cars, Classic Cars, Classic Trucks, Resto Mods, Motorcycles & Hot Rods.
The shop's custom paint work has won numerous awards and our cars have been featured in many magazines.
With collectively over 150 years of automotive experience Mid Cities Classics can service all your classic car needs.
We are very fortunate to have played a role in thousands of customers’ projects; everything from classic cars, exotic cars, and motorcycles to airplanes, helicopters, boats, gas pumps, and pedal cars.
Today, Mid Cities Classics is a full service mechanical and body shop with over 5000 customers served. With both Jim and his son Austin at the helm, we can meet all your needs for maintenance and/or repair of your specialty vehicle. Our passion is working with customers on any project, no matter how big or small, and getting the opportunity to turn someone’s dream car into a reality.
